When i was looking recently at the 3 series i noticed about 40k worth of extras comes std in 335i vs 328i so i think you need to look at all the extras etc too to fairly compare.

True. That's how I ended up with the 335

I was lucky and got an awesome deal... my 328i M-Sport demo had been on the floor for 3 months, so they dropped the price from R460k to R390k... pretty awesome deal considering the new 320i's were R420k+...

I was originally looking for a 320i M-Sport but couldnt say no to own a half a mil car for R390k.

Agreed, the #35i's are more "stockly" spec'd than a 328i. But I was more leaning towards the arbitrage between the series jumps from the #20i to the #28i motors. I'll check out the specs.

Something else I've noticed is that the UK the BMW 328I and BMW 320d M-Sports are more or less the same price. As the same with our 220d & 228i.

What I have seen is that the "Stock" 328i vs the 320i is higher spec'd ito trim and mags, but the M-Sport kit levels that field across board.

All of that said. The 328i still looks like a bargain for the performance.
