If you look at the passenger door panel its clearly been relined and the door handle surround is missing...

Very tempted, but sitting on my hand until the feeling goes away. It worked yesterday when I was tempted to go to gym... :mmm: Its one of teh cheaper once to come onto teh market, and I love black cars:excited:

You can only tell from the VIN

Some pointers of a genuine one however are....

1) No rear headrests
2) Black roof lining
3) Aluminium boot lid doors and bonnet (This is unreliable though as the factory did not always install aluminuim like they were supposed to have)
4) 5 Stud wheel hubs

R 85K, that's a lot of bucks either way... that steering wheel looks like it has more than the claimed mileage, or some oke with sandpaper for hands.

Easiest way to spot an IS, is with the 5 stud suspension and the Alpina bits under the bonnet. There were 2 version of the IS. The first had Aluminium panels, the second did not... although the second version (also referred to as HP or Evo2) had 10KW more than the Evo1. There are a few Evo2's with Aluminium panels which was left over panels.

This car is apparently real, although the interior was "redone", and it has a normal 325i motor. Info was on E30club forum.

No e30 ever had an ally bootlid.
Only bonnet and fenders.
Headrests in the rear were optional as well as the sunroof.
As stated, look for the 5 hole wheels + bigger brakes and the bigger AFM.
Evo 2 had revlimiter moved up to 6800 rpm

Looks good....just wonder if someone would have the balls to ask top dollar for something that is not real?
