Thanks for the help guys, been doing a lot of homework, I am still leaning leaning towards the 330, besides, I knew that I would probably had to trade in, with our first baby on the way, the 2 door does not make that much sense, not a deal breaker, but it will probably get to the point where its not going to work all that well. So yes, 5 door 330D sounds about right to me.

14.4l per 100, this is too high there must be something wrong. My consumption on a 325ti with over 288 000km is averaging 9.6L town driving only. The lowest i got it was 9.2L but I couldn't consistently drive like a granny.

In town driving - consumption figures will differ a lot between manual and auto...

That guy with the 330d is right ,its not a nice car.

Its to light on fuel.
Its tears up the tarmac to easily.
It disgraces so many cars on the road its not funny
Its often mistaken to be a 335i.

Why oh why did i buy a 330d

sounds like the car has an alignment issue because of an accident...

Sounds like a bearing or hub problem to me - the wheel locked up...

sounds like hes eating both front tires then i dont think a bearing can cause that... then the bearing is just another symptom...

i find it hard to believe that bmw cant change a bearing... but i guess anything is possable...

 i had a 330d e46 got it on 80000km and drove it to 340000km with a smile had bigger turbo fitted cooler exhaust down pipe had 580nm 183kw at the wheels never had one days problem the only reason why you should get turbo or injector problems is not maintaining the stuff. then u still got the liter's /km to smile with respect to say 325ci would not keep up in anyway whats so ever but its true resale value is crap...

I can happily say that this chapter is no closed. After so time, and taking many others for test drives, I have my new lady, went with the 530d e60. Smiles ear to ear, best so far eco wise is 13.6 km/l in town driving, sitting at just over 12 after taking some work mates for a spin. All around brilliant, worlds apart from the 325Ci, but each to his own, will always love my 325Ci, but loving my new lady some more. :joy:

 good choice.

When something is wrong with the car and the dealerships cant or wont fix, its time to replace. Beemer, you need to do the same!

I would rather drive an el cheapo KIA than a Ferrari with a wobble!
