Hi,

New to forum. I just got myself a 323i E90 sport auto. Any tips to look out for on the model?

Also, the 2008 is 140 Kw and the 2006 130 Kw, what would an idea to upgrade to 140 Kw....

As BMW developers learn more and make the engines more efficient, so the power output tends to increase. This has been happening since forever :)

If you got your car new, there should be nothing you will have to look out for, it will all be covered under MP :) I love motorplan... pity mine ran out 20k kms ago :bawling:

Welcome to the forum, and enjoy your new car ;)

Thank you, but this car is 2006 model with 66K on it. Is the sport that much harder than the standard, I ask as I'll only get the car tomorrow?

2006, there should still be MP till next year, and extendable.

The only problem I see cropping up quite often is that the windscreen on the E90's tends to get chipped very easily. Otherwise I havent heard of any other problems really.

The great thing about MP though, is that as you find things that could possibly be wrong, just pop in at BMW and have them checked out :)

Nice one man, and Welcome

I read somewhere in a forum, not too sure if it was here that the E90 is prone to winscreen chips. If its a crack have it fixed at once, but for a chip....

I actually had a chat with somebody from PG Glass before, and they claim that after you have the chip filled, if its done properly, you can really polish it out with Brasso so that you cant see it.

I dont know if thats true though..

Welcome again.. AND

Congrats on the new car!

Don, I wouldn't stress too much about having an E46 out of motorplan. Ours has been out of MP for 48k and has given not given a days problem.

On the 10kw diff though. I was chatting to Smooth after we did his M5 detail and he mentioned that 10kw can be easily attained on my 330 by means of chip tuning.

I could definately do with 200kw ! :pimp:

I'm sure the same would be true for the 323 ?

Thanks. This is a sport, on getting on Tuesday now as they need to fix the stone chips. People are telling me the ride is very hard in the sport, is the turn, if so how much harder. I had a A3 2.0 T with s-line, would it be harder than that?

After 100 000km, what will I need to replace, is cambelt done under MP i.e. under 100 000km or later?

Who is a good after MP center to service at in Pretoria?
Congrats on the new car!
