When I had my 318ti back in the days (essentially the same engine, barring a few power tweaks), I found the best mod on this car was a trade in.

In all fairness, I went form an e30 325is evo 2, down to a 318ti. Ultimate fail of note. After 11 months I bought myself a 328i.

The 320i isnt going to gain much, it wont be too noticable, and after 5 month of driving it modded, you will realise you want more power.

I wouldn't advise modding a 320i. The e90 320 looks gorgeous and a few cosmetic additions/modifications is a far better way of spending 8k in my opinion.

Pipe and chip is always good! if the car has more than 100k kms on the CATS are most likely to be blocked! so geting a freeflow and a chip will make it much more economical and if you flip in a BMC replacement pannel filter you will not have a racecar but definitely feel the difference! In my opinion you can look at between 10-20 wheel KW doing all that branches included! But can gauretee you a fuel consuption improvement!

If you want it silent but WILD! take it to Sabie Coetzee for some happy gas! Then you are more than a contender for a stock M3! Spoke to him this Weekend at Nitro Raceway! He charges R350 for a fillup! which is a give away comparing what other people charges!
