So power aside I just have some questions hopefully someone can answer:

Is BMW accurate in saying that the avg consumption is 8.1/100km?
Do the Auto models have any known problems (08 model) ?
Is the Nav professional awesome? :excited: :)

Fuel consumption is accurate.
Its to slow to break anything, so very reliable...
SatNav is great until you have to buy the updates (R2800 for the latest edition)

Go and drive a '08 320d then decide...

I would also like some more info on this.

the 320i 2007 model automatic or later (+- R160k) budget

or 323i

Anything is better than the 320i. I see you're in CT, so the 323i would make nice power down there.

i have had a 2005 320i.

if u drive like an old lady, you get 8l to 100kms, drive it like you stole it and it can go up past 12l to 100km. trust me, i have a diesel now and push it hard, i have never seen it go over 9l to 100km.

the e90 engines are reliable, but the 320i is underpowered. go for a 325i if you must have petrol, otherwise get a diesel and you will never look back.
