I would rather in all honesty get the ACS ECU fitted instead of the PPK.. at R40k for 160/450 it seems a whole lot better.

i know phantom did give me a number of the dealer he had it done.

After taking on a M135i tonight in my 320d (no details - this is not the TLGP section), I dunno about mods anymore be it OEM or aftermarket.. Buying a faster car is the best option I guess :rollsmile:

Apparently the dealer is going to have a demo vehicle made up with a PPK kit then I will be able to datalog the car at the same time as a standard one.
They are talking of a price in the region of R19500.00.
As HERR said if you want the details direct from the horses mouth PM me and I can give contact details.
I don't think it would be fair to the BMW advertisers to openly give this info.

I have the ppk on my 2012 F20 120d auto. Initially I could not feel much of a difference, but dyno testing showed 130kw at the wheels. Would like to do on the road test comparisons against stock 120d/320ds though. I also recently managed to get the better of a G6 GTi from 0 to 140km/h until we ran into traffic, although considering the GTIs reputation maybe the GTi was a manual and the driver somehow messed it up :fencelook:

That is actually a very nice power curve as diesels tend to lose power at the higher rpm level. :thumbs:

Unfortunately did not do a dyno before, but KAR gave me some info on a stock F30 320d they tested and it puts out about 120kw at the wheels and also mentioned that the gains on my car with the ppk was good.

With mine there is no smoke at all. As far as I know no smoke with any of the ppk's

It was the one thing I noticed when my car was on the dyno no sign of any smoke at all ,where as the other cars petrol and diesel did have some. I would like to keep it that way.:thumbs:

There is smoke for a few seconds when you floor it then it goes away.
It's like in the old days of carburettor where you had a pump jet just to give you that extra squirt on flooring.
This extra diesel also gives the torque figure.
On the initial installation there was no smoke but according to the datalog no more power.
With the software recalibrated the smoke and the power arrived. :thumbs:
P.S. My car now brakes traction in second and third (yes auto) where originally it only happened in 1st. :bravo:
