Hi guys. I am taking my F30 320d M-Sport for its first long trip to Cape Town. I've been curious to find out what range you guys got from your 320d's. I will be filling it up with Sasol 10ppm as this seems to give me the best results.

Dont have a f30, but driving at legal speeds getting 1,000km shouldnt be a problem. I could have easily done jhb to pe on single tank in f25 x3 2.0d but didnt want to risk it...thats about 1,000km or more

I have an E90 LCi, when I fill up with sasol 10ppm, I can easily manage 1000km on a tank (When sticking to the speed limit). I am sure the F30's would better the E90's consumption, go enjoy the trip and upon your return let us know what you achieved. :thumb:

I did that trip in my F30 320D last year. Full boot and family so 2 adults and 2 kids. Left from Middelburg(MP), drove on eco with a average speed of 130km/h. Filled again just outside CT. Consumption sat around 3.6 to 4.5 l/100km. So was sorry VERY impressed with this car

Best ever was 1280km with my F30 320d.

Now with the 335i I need to plan long trips to be sure there's a garage that has 95 every few hundred KMs! Nearly ran out of fuel in early Jan..

Thanks guys! I really hope I do manage to get to Hartenbos on one tank. 1224km. Would be nice. Need to avg 5.0l/100km to do that, seems like I will manage though.

My e90 320d drove from Durban to CT on a Tank and a Half. keeping to speed limit and Diesal 50PPM.

Loved the economy but having a slight issue with it at the moment.

Pretty impressed but I really miss the refinement of my F30 320i... I dont think the premium on the diesel is worth the difference. I had managed to do 1000km with the petrol previously so 148km extra not really worth the premium imo

but on the short run the diesel kills the petrol, unless you only drive long distance...?

True, it definitely does. I am just starting to miss the petrol's refinement...

But I must admit, the below is quite pleasing...
