320D Not Starting

I have recently got a E46 320D 2002 model, but i am having starting problems. The car only starts when the engine is completely cold, it starts on first turn. If I drive the car to the shop for example..and turn it off, it does not start, only a click sound when turning the key. The starter doesnt even swing. I assume that the starter or something is getting hot when driving and then not working again until it has cooled down completely.even if I let the car stand for a few hours, it just clicks when turning the key. Over night and when leaving work the car starts perfect. Any ideas on what this could be ?

I had a similar issue with my e34 540i. Had the starter reconditioned and problem solved.

Its you starter motor get an auto electrician to recon it for you its not very expensive and you all good again
