320d normal auto driving

Hi, I have a question for e90 320d auto drivers. When I drive easy, the car will rev up to about 1800rpm and stay there for a while (even through a gear change) while the engine speed catches up. Is this normal?

Another auto box question: when driving normally; when changing gears, sometimes the engine will rev up while changing (so revving about 2000 and then during 2-3 gear change, will rev to 2300 - 2500 before snapping into gear). Is this also normal?

seems like an over rev to me.....

but as long as it's still under warranty take it in to have a look?

Thanks. I'm taking it in hopefully in a few days to check out a few (potential) problems. I've made a list. I was just wondering if I should mention the said occurrences or if they were completely normal.

If you're feathering the accelerator then what you're experiencing is perfectly normal
