technical 320d fuel tank

Hey Guys when my 2006 320d fuel gauge reaches a quarter tank the car goes into limp mode and I cannot drive far and then cuts out. what can be causing this?

I would say get your fuel pump checked out before it eventually stops working completely.

Please get your tank level sensor checked out, that might be a good option to check.

How does it work as the tank is split in to two sections?
Main feed pump that feeds the engine and a return feed line back to the other tank.
or does it have two pumps?
