Hi Guy's
Quick question i have the 2002 320d and after doing just a small trip
say to work and back witch is only 5km for me the car smells heavy of burning oil even when you put the fan on inside the car you smell it quite badly if you do take it out say on the main road and drive it proper
when you stop and open the bonnet you see the burning oil smoke coming
from the turbo side i see there is a type of breather filter or something there next to the engine mounting as i see the engine mounting is
soaked with oil
Spoke with someone yesterday and he told me the car is breathing and i should remove completely the crank case breather valve,is this advisible because what do you put in its place ? i told him the turbo was done about six months ago because that is what the dealer where i bought it told me,but i see the cat is still there can the car be breathing
because the cat could be blocked to some degree ?
Or what else can cause the breathing ?
