Selling one car at a loss and buying another car at an inflated price (to cover the financing shortfall) is a surefire way to stay indebted forever and to never actually own a car.

Follow your own advice, keep the car, pay it off and find some way to scrape together the money for the balloon payment. Then drive that car until the wheels fall off.

Secondly, never ever again enter into a financing deal with a residual value unless you don't care that it will bite you in the ass again.

The only people making money from today's crazy financing world is the dealer and the bank. You will always draw the short straw, despite the BS that Mr Flame tries to sell you.

But yes..this was going to be a sweet deal as they give R181k for my car...and sell n 2014 116i sport with 30k on to me for R290k. Bargain i would have say!! :)

Thanks waiting for it. So now they giving you how much as trade in? R181k? More than what the car retails for?:slow:
My 2010 320d with 85 000k and Motorpaln only sold for R170k :smashScreen:

Post details of this dealership on the open forum. So the fanatics can shop their cars there.

Ya well... car was 270...now 290...so i stil get 161k for car as they loaded the other 20k on it...but 290k is retail for it anywat...

Which dealership is this?

For them to be able to give you R61 363.57, over average trade prices for a 2010 320d's (lets say R120k, as a stretch) and still sell you a 116 2014 model at R290 000, they have to either have a lot of meat in that 116i, or there is something wrong with that car.

I cant check much as you scratched out the Vin and dealership details.

Share the dealership details with us. Might be able to help someone.

Well my silver 2011 bmw e90 320d auto with sunroof and pdc and 150k on the clock was to be traded this month. I got offers around the 120 k mark this is the best I got. Bmw's go for far less than trade like 40 to 50k bellow trade. They also sell just over trade and way under retail. So those trade and retail figures mean very little. I paid 80k bellow retail when I bought mine.
This should have been my first clue. The only time you will get better money for your bmw is when you around 70 000km on the clock. This gives owners more to stand on due to it still being under plan. Bmw like this as well as it gives them more ways to make money as they can extend maintenance plans.

This is true at a normal dealer on a other car or bmw at a normal dealer.

Go to bmw self...and the picture change.
No not really. If your car in under and we'll under 100k km and on plan or even going out a plan bmw may look at it. Anything over and you stuffed I've just gone thru this process yesterday. They want to give me 100k for my car. That's was out of 3 dealers. At least the independent guys will give me more at this stage.

So anyone looking for a 116i on a special deal, give Auto Luxus a call. Sure they can structure you that same deal as for Flame, with that trade offer.

So... It's been a while since I've been here, but here goes.

I just phoned around to BMW authorized service agents... The cheapest I get on the parts is R3036.96 and that's excluding the labor etc.

That is a bit much... Anyone know where I can find it cheaper?

what service parts is that? You can buy parts from goldwagen etc, but suggest you buy the oil filter from BMW.

Service kit for my 320d e90 2010 model.

Fuel Filter, Air Filter, Microfilter, Oil Filter and 6L of 5W30 oil as per recommendation of BMW.
