get the first 7 digits of the VIN number (the sales man can give you this), call any BMW Dealership and ask to speak to the service department. Give them the VIN then ask them to email you the service history of car.
you can then see the cars history, and if it is a problematic car or not and whats been done to it. Also ask them if there are any comments on the vehicle. If there is a comment, they are not allowed to tell you what it was for, but at least you can know the value of the repair done by an approved BMW panel beater.
Other wise just feel that it pulls nicely, check the fuel consumption looks rite, the soft touch steering wheel finish is not peeling to much and you should be good.
And that price is definitely to high. Try Negotiate him down to at least 180K.
Otherwise be patient for another one, they do come around but act fast because once for sale, give IT two days and they gone.
