318ti steering wheel replacement

Hi all

I'm considering changing my e46, 318ti steering wheel because I don't like how thin it feels in my hands. Do any of you know if it's possible to fit a different e46 steering wheel (the 'sporty' one like on the 328's, etc) to these cars and still have all the buttons (volume control, cruise control ) working?
