Hi guys,

So I had to remove my old solenoid from my starter as it was acting up the coil inside the body turned as I titened the skrews and snapped the wire inside.

So I got another solenoid. But here is the problem now :

Previous solenoid was a 4 prong and the one I got now is a 3 prong.

Now I don't know how to connect it. As for the green and black wire and the yellow and black wire. These are terminal 3 and 4 wires as on wiring diagram (M6) & (M5)

Spoke to a auto and he said test the green and black first see if it kicks in if not the other and then if not put both together and test.

So I did that but still nothing.

So I was wondering if the green and black shouldn't be fitted between the solenoid and the starter mounting would that help ground it?

Any thoughts please?

Sorry for bump, so these two wires I knew exactly where to place on a 4 prong but as the 3 prong grounds through the body of the solenoid I'm uncertain.

Could I have blown a relay now?
Would that maybe have blown my comp box?
