Just got the car on 158 000 km's 2004 touring with n46 engine, gearbox is quite eratic. Gears takes long to engage to a higher gear on acceleration, as it gears down a slight thump in lower gears. Also going uphill seems to be a problem, gears take some time to change over.
I have been told these are GM boxes and not as good as the ZF boxes, not sure if the software needs to be upgraded on the transmission or maybe an oil change required!
Anyone have any similar experiences? Trying to get the dealer I bought it from to sort out the problem. I have had a diagnostic scan done as well no errors found. Any feedback would be much appreaciated.
