2024/2025 M4 Comp - Akrapovic Exhaust Price?

Yep - buying power for most people is the same, or even backwards, when compared to 5+ years ago. The only people moving forward are the C-Suite folks. They are somehow always growing in real terms.
Capitalism is just that - you need capital to play the game

Sounds terrible but its easier to make 10mil from 1mil than it is to make 1mil from nothing

Moral of the story... be safe and buy a 2 seater instead
Literally me 😂 mum said, be reasonable, buy something reliable and functional like a Kia Picanto

I said okay and came home with an e82 125i 😂 at least its reliable 😉

helps to have a supportive wife who isn't interested either - especially after we went to buy gifts for one of my best friends baby showers and saw pricing on diapers and stuff 🤣

My poor homie dropped a good sum of money into tunes and R-Line kit for his Polo over hte past few years and now - guess who's trading it in for a family SUV🤷‍♂️

Getting any exhaust (back box/rear section) is pointless and a waste of money on the G8X platform. The mid section on these cars with its 4 silencers dictates what sound comes out of it, also the exhaust flaps on the stock exhaust only open 75% not 100 percent... There are aftermarket valve controllers that can open them fully, keep it stock, closes or 50 percent open. Also there is a hack mod that keeps it open all the time that is better money spent then going with a BMW approved exhaust which does nothing.

Here is costing I got on various exhausts from BMW (Just rear section)

M performance Exhaust R142 000
AC Schnitzer Exhaust R 112 000
AKRA I stopped reading the email after my math's for the individual components hit R300k....

I am not anti M performance exhaust but honestly not worth it on the new M cars. On my M340i it made a huge difference!!!

As for Adro on a G87, no thanks it looks terrible like a regular 2 series, get the CS Grille and a MHC front lip for the G87 and its the best look you can get. I have had only compliments on my car contrary to the negative comments floating around here.

Thanks for this! - glad to know its not just him specifically as that was my concern - I personally worried BMW was just trying to run his pockets because he's just bought a brand new M4 Comp and a brand new X1 for the wife so I thought they might be trying to milk him for all he's worth
Tell him to sell the x1 and buy the Akra...

As I mentioned, my full titanium (Downpipe to rear section) Akrapovic exhaust in 2015/6 was like R100k (after discounts). o_O At that point I would have said it makes no sense to buy a R50K/R60K local system vs. that since you get the build quality, material advantage and nothing sounded quite like it.

Now at R142K for (if I am reading you correctly) JUST THE AXLE BACK it is beyond lunacy... no matter what way you look at it. It is not even made by Akrapovic - it is likely made by Eberspacher who makes the F90 exhaust (not that this is a bad thing, but they are also not exactly Akrapovic)

The Schnitzer exhaust has also more than doubled in price for this generation it seems. There was a time the straight 6 exhausts were around R30K and the V8 exhausts around 45K (also axle back). Honestly there is no good reason to get the Schnitzer exhausts unless you really like the tips. This was even true back then.

I will also add that the M Performance titanium system on my F90, while good and probably 'decent' value for what it originally cost, is NOT the same 'next level' quality or standard as the system on my F10. Firstly it is less complex (the exhaust control is done in software, not with valves) and the tip quality is not nearly as good vs. the tips on the F10. The entirety of the system is also not finished off to the standard of an art piece as was the case with the Akra Evolution Line F10 M performance system. At a glance you wouldn't notice... and of course you can't see underneath, but my OCD unfortunately doesn't allow for this.

The new systems are calling for higher prices for lower quality - Bean counters having a field day...

Unfortunately, while the best of the best is still available, there is a huge luxury tax on us and its one of those things where now if you want that extra 10/20% you have to pay 300% of the price it seems.

I may have slightly mislead on the M Perf System from BMW, as it also needs a new diffuser because the pipes all center in the middle of the diffuser, this is what I was quoted

Then here is the ACS System

That may be the price, but its ludicrous to be honest and for 1 dont feel its worth that money. Wow....
Hi, the problem we face is only the akra 300k system or the ac schnitzer axle back exhaust is bmw approved. I have the ac schnitzer, cost about 120k.
I also believe its ridiculous price however warranty

Most Akra's sound great, but they price their systems purely based on what car its going on.

The new URUS SE akro pipes are priced at R 485k. An absolute joke.
