Thanks guys. Much appreciated.

Impressive stuff. Nice
Are you going to do work on the gearshift lever as well?
Not yet. Been toying with the idea of ID7 retrofit (Cluster, screen, multimedia) etc but still researching what needs to be done.

Thanks guys

Headlights required an emulator and additional coding for them to work as the Pre LCI uses BDC2 and the LCI uses BDC3 (Body Domain Controller)

Turn signals on BDC3 works via CANBUS

Bought the wife this 2018 G01 X3 20D Msport after selling her Tiguan Rline TDI last year.

Very well specced car with a host of factory options. Harmon Kardon, Lane assist, Pro nav with gesture control, Pan roof, Adaptive LED Headlights, heated seats, Rear windows blinds, M Sport brakes, Digital cluster and list goes on.

Bug finally bit and got a set of LCI Tail lights for a good deal. Small wiring changes were needed to the plug. No coding required.

Then toyed with the idea of facelifting the car using OEM parts. Didnt realize how much work and parts were involved but slowly starting getting all the parts together.

Bought an OEM front bumper, OEM rear bumper and 20" LCI wheels with new tyres.

Finally got a set of OEM headlights.

After lots of searching and checking OEM parts lists, managed to source all the required grills, brackets that sit behind the bumpers front and rear etc.

Once all the parts were sourced I started fitting them at my shop just to make sure everything fitted correctly before sending it off to paint.

Final step was to take it to my panelbeater to get everything painted. Once painted I chose to go to the panelbeater and assemble the car together with them just to make sure it goes together perfectly. Couldn't find a set of OEM tail pipes locally as most places only wanted to sell the complete exhaust so ordered a set from overseas again.

Pics after getting it back from the panel beater. After fitting all the grills etc. Left the mirror caps to be painted black. Added some OEM heritage badges for the wheels and bonnet and boot lid.

Basically completed the converison late July.

Good day Shaheen!
My name is Welcome, I love how your car turned out my guy it's truly amazing 👏 🤩...I need your help,I'm recently got myself an x3 'pre-birthday gift for myself ' and I want to facelift it,thinking of sourcing most of the parts from alibaba I'm still searching around, locally parts are expensive 😭saw that I can get OEM parts but the front front bumper without the grill and brackets is selling for R10000 and rear bumper around R4000 without the reflectors however defusser is included.
Headlights and tail lights are also something I'm gonna have to look for 🫣i could find plug and play lights that don't require programming but not so sure on the quality though.
So based from what I could tell I think the front is the tricky part and more important so I'll start with that part 1st...
I need you help/advice 🙏
