Hi

Does the snapper rocks blue 440i GC belong to anyone on this forum?

Have some questions from a potential buyer.

Thanks.

So I am considering purchasing this car.
Excellent condition and priced well and the Plan is extendable.
Anything to look out for on these 40i engined cars in general?

So, this was uneventful....

After test driving this car I was left underwhelmed. The power is there and it is certainly quicker than my Cayman in the mid range and even at lower revs, thanks to the turbo.

But, the driving experience was a bit numb and too refined. Granted, it is not a Cayman competitior, but the C43 sedan I drove recently felt a bit wilder and louder.

Make no mistake, this 440i is brilliant, but rather as a junior 540i than a grown up 240i...

Anyway, this particular car is still on sale and has excellent spec and zero defects. Priced well too.

Ooooh I really like the C43. I drove the 270kw and the 287kw versions, that V6 growl sounds so meaty. Although I did find the gearbox to be a bit wonky when shifting on the red line.

Yes. Gearbox is not as good as ZF. I am casually looking for a GT type performance car (not a full fat M or AMG) to replace my Cayman. This 440i is well priced, well specced and looks very well cared for, but did not tug the heartstrings during my test drive. C43 Coupe is hard to come by at a decent mileage, in good condition and at a good price.

Anyway, this 440i is pristine and priced well. Hope it goes to a good home. As said earlier, it feels more 540i than M240i, so for the more refined gentleman.

I always saw this as a weakness of the F3x platform... Too big to be truly sporty, and too spartan to be a luxury compact.

They fixed it with the G20 though.
