Side note, how did the dealer fix the door squeaks? I have the same issue on my E90 and it's driving me mad.

+1 sounding like spongebob going down the road :hammerhead:

They paint the gloss black plastic part that touches the inner door a matte finish. This stops the squeaks. Not sure if E90 has same solution.

Painting is a new fix, I haven't heard of them doing it before but it makes sense. I've read alot of them using 3m teflon tape on the bottom of the gloss piece. But apparently teflon tape isn't that easy to come by in SA, so I'm going to have to get it on Amazon

Updated pics, after rimskins and the grille stripes. Looking like a Kalahari Ferrari...

Nice to see you enjoying your car
F30 has its fair share of issues, so do other BM and other brands but I love mine and wouldn’t trade it for anything, even with the recent interest it’s had

Ps. Your next mod should be 19” wheels. Really fills the arches better

Thanks man.
This is the reason why I can't have 19s...

Initially I was against it, but I must say, looking at the new pics, the car really has come alive! Well done!

Nice car, think the stripes are a lot for a 320d. Is it OEM? Did BMW put it on for you? Looks absolutely terrible IMHO.

These 320d's are the perfect daily drivers, enjoy.

I would really like to hear your thinking on why the stripes are a lot for the 320d? I have seen 320i's with Performance stripes a plenty and cosmetically I feel if placed well, it looks good.

These stripes look like the ones that they put on the M4 which looks damn awesome on this car, especially with the grey wheels. bigger will look better however needs to suite the owner's application use.

Update

I crossed over 12,000km.
Fuel consumption is amazing.
Long term average at 6.3l/100km.
Not so great as a family car (refer my post on my JHB to DBN trip in the Fuel Related discussion).

Now, I am itching to add something else to uplift the look of the car.

I am considering a gloss black vinyl roof wrap, but not sure if that will gel well with the blue and red stripes.

Also thought of a neat boot spoiler, but they seem to look a bit too common.

Front splitters are out of the equation, given my roads.

Any, constructive, styling suggestions welcome.

Carbon fiber boot spoiler and diffuser.
Sounds good, but seem OTT for a 320d...

Black vinyl wrapping the lower front bumper to get the black splitters look?

Think this ship has sailed with those stripes... :tiptoe:

The boot spoiler and diffuser are a good idea though, really completes the rear end. Vinyl wrap the roof and mirrors in gloss black, change to the double slat gloss black grill and your idea to wrap the splitters would go down well.

This was my previous baby. So, stripes are in my DNA...

The double black double slot grills, black side mirrors and carbon spoiler will tie in well with the black roof, if you do decide to go that route IMHO

In addition to it all, maybe go with black rims to make it more subtle

congrats on the buy, gorgeous car :bravo: wishing you many happy kms

Thanks for the feedback guys.

I have decided to get a boot spoiler as the next step.

Will update thereafter.
