2015 X3 F25 HUD

Hi All,

I wanted to ask if anybody has the same experience as me regarding the HUD?

Is it normal to sometimes get quite a bit of glare from the actual HUD unit when in certain positions in the sun? As the plastic around the unit is like a shiny black hard plastic it seems to reflect quite severely into the windscreen. Also seems that the actual screen reflects a thin shiny stripe across the windscreen in certain positions...

Is there a fix for this? OR can one remove the HUD if one does not really use it?

On the F30 and X5 you can switch off the HUD on the I drive under settings.

Check your windscreen for an original BMW badge, the pirate windscreens don't do so good with the HUD, for good reasons.

If it is, and you still don't like it, try adjusting the hud position, adjustable on the idrive, or turn it off... or better yet.. rip it out and give it to me

I normally use a wet and dry cloth to clean it. It does have a glare and outline sometimes.
