Howzit guys,

So my X3 is coming up to 120k kilometers.

Besides the on board computer telling me that i need to do oil in a few thousand kms and brakes coming up in 400kms.

What else do i need to look for or do at this milleage?

Have you done a gearbox oil change?

Easy to do and some piece of mind.

Mine is standing on 190 000km now, still going strong.

No not yet hey. Need to! My car is due for a service now. Lol. Need front brake pads now as well.

What oil do I need to get for the gearbox?

That is the fun bit.

Contact ZF in JHB. They deliver for free. bit on the expensive side because you replace the sump of the gearbox as well. But they send you the whole kit. Think I paid R3500 odd for 10l of oil and the sump/filter.

ZF were offering a special a couple of posts back :fencelook:

Personally I don't touch gearbox oil unless it is really necessary "if it ain't broke don't fix" there are many contradictions in doing this as preventative maintenance, I wont, however it's your own choice!

Ja, gearbox service R3000 vat included. Till end of Jan. As soon as i get my car i am going to make use of the special.

Also, if you pre-arrange with ZF, you would be able to do the special in Feb.
