2012 X5 30D Oil level too high

Got this error message...pls advise?

Verify oil level with the dipstick to ensure the sensor is reading correctly.

Also depending on when last the car had an oil service, either get your mech/workshop to drain the excess oil or do an oil service.

Did you perhaps add oil? If not then,

Check your coolant levels and oil for contamination.
