I also reckon that M5 did well. GTR will kill it from a standing start, but from my experience 100-200 it is quite even.

Also shouldn't the rwd be faster on top end?

We all know on stand still the gtr should take it comfortably:fencelook:
 
I have the pleasure of owing both M5 F10 and gtr35.

Its really 2 different cars, but, no matter what GTR is probably the most impressive piece of machinery I have ever owned, but, over all the M5 is the better car all rounder.

If the M5 was AWD then...well....mmmmm bye-bye GTR. Its the only flaw the M5 has, it cant get the power down.

Remember the //M5 is R1.1 Bar fully specced with a Full on Mplan.

The GTR is R1.4 Bar with some service plan crap.

Taking into account the above, as well as added 4 doors, a far higher centre of gravity, and 200kg excess weight, combined with reduced aerodynamic efficiency when compared to a supercar( Air resistance is the biggest factor at high speeds), the //M performed nothing short of brilliantly.

The fact of this is that the //m5 is being pitted against supercars.

True, but that's be honest, a gtr is not a 'supercar'. It can def go toe to toe against supercars, but no one will ever consider them a supercar:=):

sorry meant to say 1.1with full mplan and wrote fully specced also.. Quite right bout the super car thing..

good topic of discussion. what qualifies a car as a supercar? modified they run with the UGR lamborghini

Except the M5 you cannot mod at all and what you buy is what you get, yet with the GTR you can throw an extra 150kw on with bolt on mods and have piece of mind.

Sup Gents,

Well in my opinion while the ///M5 might be a better all round car but u have to admit that the GTR never fails to astonish even when its faced up against the likes of Ferrari and Porsche, the GTR always amazers me, its a engineering marvel and a Legend.

Well done to the ///M5 for standing against this Godzilla :thumbs:
