2012 F30 without Xenon Lights. To LED or not to LED

AS the heading states, this conversation topic came up around the fire over the weekend. And this got me thinking.

Should I replace the Halogen H7's in my car with H7 LED bulbs?

If so, would a conversion kit be needed for the Canbus system?

Once all of that is installed would I get a better light output than with the current Halogens?

I do NOT want to go the Corsa route (Xenon kit from Autostyle dropped into the existing Headlights.) It looks cheap and nasty and is more often than not a danger to other road users.

And while pondering all these questions the final question that came up, was is there any local stockists of H7 LED's?

Thoughts? Anybody?

I did a quick Google search and found THIS kit. It seems like a decent idea, but I don't know how the F30's systems would react to the LEDs.

My point exactly, not too much info around on this one, unlike other mods to F30's.

going to be the same problem as putting in H7 HID bulbs... the reflectors are designed for the way the halogen filament puts out light any other type pf bulb will not focus correctly with the reflector bowl and scatter the light

light colour will be better but i would expect less visibilty inless the LED somehow mimics the exact focal output of the halogen bulb
