Did the park light repair on my "new" X3 today. Saw how to do it on Youtube the other day and was wondering if my car was going to have the same issue. Got the car yesterday and noticed that the outer park light on the rear left side was out. Took out the pc board and soldered the thingy and now it is working again. It did not show an error on the dash or idrive, so could be the owners of F25 X3's might have the same problem without realizing it.

I know mine is out every now and then. comes on then dead.

Funny that there is no warning for it on the dash like older BMs.

Didn't know there was a fix or that it was even a thing.

Thought i was special. . . :blueCry:

It seems to be quite common on the F25. Because no warning light i think owners do not even realize the parks are dead as the car has four sets burning when on (two in the hatch and two in the corners). Shudder to think what the replacement cost of the whole assembly is as they won't be selling the loose pc board. (I do know that when the daylight driving lights are on i think all four is on but when only parks are on, only the two outers are on) Also, the coming on and going out again is indicative of dry joint at that small black thinghie with the 75 on it. Just resolder and the lights should be fixed!

BMW replaced my inner right one and outer left under maintenance plan. Couldn't remember the cost on the invoice but i know it was quite high.
