Hi All,

So it's that time of the year again = Winter.

What's the prize for a replacement battery for my 2011, e90, 320d auto?

I understand that my car needs some coding as well when the battery is replaced, why is this required?

Thanks for your help.

Not sure why U think Ur car needs coding coz I've replaced the battery on my '09 325i and no coding was needed.

Not necessarily coding but registering it. The car needs to know it has a new battery in it...maybe it's only on LCI's not pre-LCI's...could be wrong tho.

Mine is absolutely LCI, and I can promise U that no coding or registering was needed. Just remove the old, replace the new, and off U go... drive for a bit and all Ur setting are re-instated

Pre LCI here and I experienced the same. Now registering required.

I did keep power to my car when I swapped the batteries out.
