Good day

I own a 2011 320d BMW.
I would like to find out if anyone has some information on Xenon headlights?
My headlights are stock and i would like to find out more or less how much i would cost to install.
I would also like to know if the Xenons is the whole headlight or is it only bulbs?
If anyone could shed some light on this and more general information about Xenons it would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance!!:ty:

Proper oem xenons are the whole headlight unit.

It consists of a projector (which focus the light to not blind oncoming traffic) the bulb which is seated into the projector and a ballast and igniter to power the bulb, D1S bulbs on the e90 have the igniter on the bulb itself.

You can get an HID kit which fits your halogen housing. But then you would be a a##hole blinding oncoming traffic.

You can also retrofit projectors into your existing headlights. Which consists of baking the headlight to remove the lense. Cutting and fitting a projector and shroud. Etc. Violet electronics on the forum can do this for you. Cost depends on the quality of products you want.

If you want oem xenons. You will have to find a second hand set. Prices varies. From 5k a set to 15k a set. Then if it doesn't come with bulbs and ballasts you need those to. Price depends on if you get aftermarket or second hand. Then you will also have to have your car coded for xenons and do some wiring changes on the plugs. This topic has been converted extensively on e90post.

I think the harness is different as well. So you cant use the standard harness from a halogen to xenon.

On the prelci you can you just have to make some changes to the plugs wiring. Basically splice the high beam onto the bi xenon shutter. It's not the most ideal solution. But it works and it's what most guys do. Lci I'm not sure. But considering you can fit Lci headlights to a prelci with no modification. I asume the plugs are the same
