Hit 200k yesterday. Made a 300mile run on the return leg I saw the 200k hit. I got the car, aka "white wings"at 116k if I remember correctly. My first BMW that was in 2014. Anyways she has served me well. Since then she's gotten company an 04 aka "GreyGhost"and a 06 aka "RescueRed"...they too are already at the 200k+ mile mark and going strong.

Engine cubby area is always damp Sticky/ Mucky...seems to hold the rain water. I decided to clean it out. To my surprise I find there is an outlet at the bottom provided by BMW but it is covered with a type of Styrofoam cover. I removed the cover of mold cleaned it up and replaced it but not without cutting a hole so that it can match the hole in the bottom flooring provided by BMW. Hope this helps for drainage.
May just drill couple of holes in the cubby located in the boot (rear) area passenger side. But there it never fills with water .

New aftermarket windshield was installed yesterday, looks good, crystal clear.
I tried to get them to let me keep the original but Safelite refused my request.

On inspection in the day light I find this opening on both sides of the windshield....?

Couple days ago i replaced the CSB on the rear drive shaft.
With rubber splitting and tearing away from the sides of the bearing...it allowed for a loud rapid thumping under what seemed like the center console. This caused all occupants to think the car was about to give up the ghost while on acceleration from a stop.
Once speed was achieved at 25 to 30 mph the thumping quit altogether and the ride becomes smooth and normal!

Backup Battery for the X?

Currently, I have AGM battery
Duralast (Platinum)....tagged 2016 has served me well for the last 5 years!
While at the boneyard I was excited to find an X with the same battery but tagged 2020... Fully drained! Can I bring it back to life with my smart charger?
Sure did, after a couple of cycles for a day or so...
Back in business!
She fires the X right up
Doing a trial run for the rest of the week to monitor the performance, still hot outside.
