Hi everyone,

I recently bought my very first bmw (proud owner for 3 weeks so far)

The problem that I'm experiencing is as follow:
1. copy music to 16GB flash drive (Sandisk Cruzer Blade),
2. plug in and wait for car to index music list.

(music folder structure is
/album1/songs
/album2/songs
...
etc)

3. after indexing, all the folders are there but all the music is missing in the folders except maybe one or two albums will contain their respective music and these ones are playable.
(all are mp3 format and 320kbps or lower - the car does play up to 320kbps i have tested this already)

4. I take that same flash drive and plug it back into PC to see the space is still taken by the mp3's loaded on it but no mp3s are visible, only the two albums that play in the car.

5. I format the drive (fat32), copy the exact same music + give the drive a new volume name to force the car to reindex everything, just to have the same issue but this time it may be different albums or the same ones disappearing.

6. I have tried a different flash drive that i know does not have any issues (8GB transcend flash drive) and the same happens - again random albums will show music and hide the rest of the mp3s and all the album folder names will be there - no content.

I have troubleshooted the ....!!!! out of this, can't find a solution.
Only idea i'm getting is that the usb module might be damaged on the car????

does anyone know what can be the cause of my USB problem and how i can fix it?
Or even give me extra tests to do???

Kind regards,
Armandt

How many albums / songs does the disk currently have when you experience the issue?

Will the problem only happen with a certain number of files or does it always happen?

Are there any special characters in the file / album names or are they very long names?

I'll post a few albums/songs to give more clarity on naming conventions:

There is longer album/song names but it doesn't matter, problem persists even with these albums shown above.

If needed I can take a few pictures of the car's indexing as well
