Not too clued up on the diesels but the new engines were not LCI specific.
I wouldn't mind this 320d as a daily driver & a Z4M for the weekend :inlove:

By the pics it can be seen it's a pre lci and thus it has the M47TU2D20 motor and not the much improved N47 motor.
Car registration date has nothing to do with manufacturing date. You'll find this 2008 reg model was produced in '07.
The N47 and N57 range diesel motors have a vastly superior layout design. Easy access air filter design, much improved exhaust manifold (shares some of the twin scroll goodness) and the Compression ratio on the motors are less than the previous generation.
Less compression on paper means less efficiency but more reliability. The efficiency is offset by the manifold design and turbo improvement.
you can get a 2010, albeit non-Msport, 320d for around R165k.
Had seen one towards the end of last year with 78k kms for that price.
Non Msport, but they do have xenons, auto headlights and wipers
