2008 Msport 320d with 62000km

Gents,

I looked at a 2008 320d msport this afternoon with only 62000km on the clock.

White Msport with Black leather.

The only thing I could fault the car on was that it didn't have runflats on, and has some crappy roadstone tyres.

The seller wants R160k?

So my question is, is this price as good as it seems??

Have you compared like for like on Autotrader? That doesn't seem too bad a price, and it should still have MP til next year?

Yeh cant really find anything with that mileage and year to compare. This is also pre-facelift (but at least an M-Sport:) )

M/Plan was not renewed and expired last April :yuck:

Would be an absolute no brainer if it had M/Plan

Oh cr@p,my maths is conked....lol,for some reason I thought next year was 5 years since 2008,damn I need to get out more.
I don't think there's anything wrong with pre-LCI personally. Pull the history from BMW and see what's what? That mileage is super low though considering it's a 6 year old car (my maths works!)

Pulled the history, came off Plan at 52000km and no comments.

The only reason I am even considering it as pre-LCI is because its an M-Sport.

Similar pricing but looks so basic

And you want an MSport here and not a base model, makes a lot of difference aesthetically. Imagine the amount of laps you can get in with a diesel!
Well if it checks out it's worth considering at the very least.

Looks very clean indeed. Did you drive it?

Yip... It wasn't the most exhilarating drive of my life, but there was a bit of fun to be had, and I am trying to be sensible for 1 year :)

I having to open a second office, so I am going to be driving a lot more. so L/100k has become a factor :)

I hate when people let MP run out with so much mileage remaining. The cheapest form of MP extension is to just extend time and not mileage, it only costs R7k or so per year and adds many thousands to the value of the car, not to mention the savings when something does go wrong. Sometimes you get back the cost of MP extension just by having the car serviced.

That said, some time ago I also bought my daughter an E87 118i with ~70k on the odo but MP expired after 5 years. I used this fact to beat the price down substantially.

This one looks to a pin exactly like my car.
Mine is just a auto, also 2008 pre LCI. I paid R155 000 last year Okt private deal, with 81 000km, now at 86 000km.
At that time it was the best priced, lowest km white Motorsport 320d auto in the market.

Mine's motorplan expired March last year. Bought aftermarket 2yr warranty @ R10 000, so mine was basically R165 000.

I think you won't loose money on this if you keep km's low and wants to sell it again soon.

Pity this is not a auto.

Looks good, I would go for it. Not familiar with motor plans in SA, but I'm sure if it was still intact the price would have been a bit higher.

It's a fair price considering the mileage. I would rather try and get a slightly higher mileage LCI. It shares the same engine found in the F30's and it's way more efficient than the pre lci motor.

Ya this one also has a Motorite warranty on it.

Thanks for sharing your opinion.
