My x3 2.0d 2007 model gets 8.7 km/l in town and between 13 and 15 km/l on the highway is this normal? I only fill up with 50 ppm. It also gives a puff of black smoke on exeleration is this normal. It has 250000 km on the clock.
When last did you get the turbo serviced or checked? I know with diesels, turbo seals can cause white smoke but in your case I think your dpf needs to be removed and replaced.
Should be giving you the opposite readings bud, town driving usually gets you a higher fuel to KM rate. Highway driving because its continuous should be giving you a low fuel to KM rate.
Its fine mate no worry's. I just bought it 1 month ago with full service history at the bmw dealer. I read somewhere that the x3's with a down pipe doesnt have a DPF. Is that true?
