2007 E90 325i battery change Questions?

Hi Gents

Wondering if you may help, I am looking at replacing the battery of my wife's car. Its a 2007 E90 325i auto, and gathered the size is 658 and looking at a willard battery.

Questions are can I just replace the battery as in just swopping out the old one with the new and done? or is there coding needed as I have read on the forum about something called the IBS?

Is this a complicated job as I would presume it to be, and what would the steps to it be?

i have changed my 1 series Battery recently and was also worried about the same issues as you were. just disconnect the old battery and change it with the new one. Disconnect the Earth ( Black ) first then go for the Live ( Red )
