Good day all,

I currently have a 2010 320D e90 manual and it’s been one of the best buys. Milage is low as well at 125k. Im looking at getting another car additionally and been looking at the BMWs. I came across a 2006 BMW 330d auto with 210k on the clock. From reading the forums it seems like a good reliable engine etc. Any advice or what I should be on the lookout for? Thanks in advance!

Hi there...

The E90 platform is one of the most solid that I have come across. The 30d motor is also a bullet proof motor that has some minor issues that need taking care of (swirl flaps), but nothing serious. It is a great combination of everything. The weak spot at that milage is the auto gearbox. It's usually not in great condition at that mileage and will need a rebuild in the next 100 000km. Sooner if you decide to stage 2 the thing.
It's a monster after a stage 2!
Also at that milage, expect a suspension, cooling system refresh.

The one issue with the E90 is its now a little dated in terms of features. No Bluetooth USB Navigation etc. Unless it was specd that way but highly unlikely.

Maybe post a link to the advertisement. Maybe someone knows the car and can give better options.

Also what is the budget?
Maybe it's F30 320d money?
Maybe maybe maybe E90 LCI 330d money also....
