My 323i is currently on 206 000 km and going strong, cant go wrong with an inline 6.

Make sure the service history is up to date, check for any oil leaks, check if the electric water pump has been replaced and was the diff ever replaced and when.

Many on here thought I was mad to buy my 323i which had 185k mileage at the time (in Jan),now on 190k. Only issue I've had was a runflat I damaged, replacement was R4.5k...I choose to replace with 2 non-RFTs for that money. Other than that I need to service and do preventative stuff (pulleys, tensioner,v belt, thermo, and water pump) but that applies to ALL N52s at higher mileages. So if you're happy with the general condition of the car and there are no serious m/plan comments go for it. Maybe negotiate the price down based on the maintenance you'll have to do

Holler at Philip Foglar on the forum, E90 genius that one :)

Cool. Thanks for the feedback.

The car actually belongs to my father in law, so I know the car has been looked after. Looking to get the car for my wife, I currently drive a 320d 2011,she drives a Renault Clio. The step up in performance and safety makes it an easy decision, especially with kids in the near future.

However the wife likes all the new small SUV's. In my eyes the only benefit they have is height, for lifting kids in and out of baby seats.

Other than that the E90 is superior in every aspect, it even has more luggage space than the new Ford Kuga, I kid you not.

Anyway, will definitely consider this car.
