1. Is brand really important or I must just concentrate on rating of the oil? I see plenty guys swear on Liquid Moly.
2. How many liters of oil should I buy?
3. Should I do a flush?

I used Liquid Moly.
Very happy with it. The oil is green, so I checked it every month to see how long it will stay green. Took just over 5k kms to turn dark

1. As long as it is a good brand, use what you prefer. Reading up can help you make a decision
2. check your owners manual to be 100% sure
3. not neccessary unless you missed a service or there is some issue with very thick oil or sludge.

I would take up the BMW special, around R1k for the 4cyl diesel, including oil, oil filter and labour.

Buying 5.5L of HX7 plus a OEM oil filter will cost you R650 to R750 last time I checked. Then you still have to DIY and dispose of the oil in a safe manner.

Im all for DIY, but daaaaang, R1000 is a good price.

I went to BMW Zambezi Auto in Pretoria to ask about the Special and they quoted me R1400 for my E90 320d.
