Hi guys,
I get a clunking noise on the front of my X5 E53 3.0i Sport Package when going on rough road.

I don't think it's related to shocks (i hope so) because the car doesn't bouce...

Where's the best place in Nelspruit that can help me fix this? Or somewhere else...

Any ideias?

Control arm bushings usually the culprit here. But nobody can tell you exactly what's wrong without viewing the car so go ahead and check it out. Supaquick generally will check it up for you.

Pull the handbrake up and then try and move the front wheels by pushing them forward with your shoe. If there is even slight movement then the lower control arm bushes are probably in need of replacement.

Could also be shot antic roll bar links. I saw a arb link that the ball joint had come out completely out of the link on a E46 BMW recently. They love to rattle when the ball joint is worn out.

Exploring all possibilities, it could also just be the brake pads rattling (brake pad chatter) over the rough surface. Try gently applying brakes when you hear the noise and see if it disappears.

Thanks BX, i ran to Supaquick for alignment and balance, and they said that rear camber bushing for both sides need to be replaced.
I'll take it for repair... Probably Steve's Auto Clinic.

Problem Fixed, all that annoying noise was related to Stabilizer Bar Links. It's super quiet now...
