2005 E91 Valvetronic question

Hi all! 1st post here for me on BMWFanatics, you all seem like an awesome bunch of people!

So, I purchased my 1st car last week friday, a 2005 320i (E91) Touring with a respectable 144kkm on the odometer.

On Saturday I drove to Hermanus from Somerset West ~75km drive and all was peachy. Car drives like a dream and the efficiency was great! However upon leaving Hermanus the following day about half way back a yellow engine warning light came on (Error CC-ID 29) which I told the dealership that I bought it from about. They took the car to a mechanic this afternoon to read the error code, turns out there is an issue with the valvetronic control motor. They are going to fix the problem and most likely replace the motor.

I believe that this is a common issue on the N46 engine and it usually happens between 80-160kkm.

Should I be concerned that any other issues will come up? I really like looking after everything I own and my car will be no exception, however nobody likes a problem child.

Any thoughts?

Also curious about this...2005 320i e90 sedan

Not sure if it's the same thing...
Took my car to do the discs and brakes and they picked up a fault on the variable intake something something.... And then they reset the errors and the set something on the computer as the new starting point and voila, no more error... But was told to keep an eye on it.

*subscribed :)

Heyo, actually they did the same on my car... Reset the error and loaded "different software" on the ECU... Also started rough once or twice since the error popped up. No new Valvetronic motor for me :/

The used car dealership I bought it from, they took it to their BMW mechanic. Will monitor the situation closely though when I get it back. I really hope they aren't cheaping out on me here and just clearing the fault without doing proper diagnosis. I am also going to buy one of those bluetooth OBD port readers so that I can monitor the error codes that the engine is showing next time one comes up.
