Hellow all. I'm Mabo from Durban. Im a Beemer fanatic obviously. I own an e46 as per subject matter. Its currently not running after fuel stop it stopped swinging. Girlfriend owns a nice running e46 328i 2004 model.

I want to fix mine but have no clue where to go and what to even budget. Been parked more for close to a year now. Any help family I'd appreciate as I'm clueless.

Thank you. "Nothing like a nice straight six from BMW"

Hi and Welcome to Fanatics.
e46 328i was only made up until 2000 iirc, so it can't be a 2004 model.

I don't know for sure what actually happens if you do this, but since it happened after a stop for fuel, are you sure the right fuel was put in?

Sorry to put up a screenshot of the car it's currently parked at the mechanic. Well if you say the 328i is not 2004 I'll take your word. First time we owning beemers anyway hence my little knowledge. :ty:

It's possible that wrong fuel was put in on the far. What's the solution to that and how would I even pick it up. Thank you

Here's the 328i, I could be wrong re model year not really my strong point yet

Cars look good.

the 328i only came out Preface.
looks like someone swopped in the face lift tail lights (if the front end headlights looks same as yours, then they swopped those in too)

For the fuel, you going to have to get someone to pump the fuel out of the tank bro.

im not sure how much time you tried swinging but if it is wrong fuel, im not sure how they get it out of the entire fuel system

Good luck with this... ( Garage should be held liable if it was incorrect fuel put in )

Thank you. I will diagnose and slowly move from there

possibly wrong fuel- could have petrol instead of diesel.
I'm not sure how common misfueling is down there. But if misfueling has happened then you'd have to drain it all out. Find out if there are specialists who do that kind of work with a mobile unit. If not then you'd have to remove the fuel tank and drain and clean it.The rest of the fuel lines will clear out once you start driving again.
But maybe not; this could just be coincidence. Your problem could be elsewhere. You'd know for sure its misfueling if you saw it happen otherwise you'd have to remove the tank or get a sample of the contents for testing:dunnoanymore:

Let us know how goes

I need to check who can do that in Durban. Also car was fitted with Unichip. Now am not sure how great of a job was done with it. The Dastek agents in KZN are Old Dutch Racing and I have not been to them. I did call them and they are waiting for me to come in. Maybe something with the wiring I hope (fantasy rally). But will inform you guys as I'm diagnosing the car on Tuesday this coming week
