2005 320d E90 Diesel Filter, Please help

Hi Guys

please help me, I need to do an oil change service, I need to know do you change the diesel filter on every oil change, also is the oil change done every 10 000km it was last serviced at 123 000km but the computer says I can do another 8000km, I find this strange as that would mean oil change after like 20 000km on a diesel, I just bought the car about 3 weeks ago, So I think they just reset everything when they sold it to me.

Also what is the cost of a diesel filter please, Goldwagen says its not listed on my car.

Lastly I read about changing the oil breather, my car is on 137 000km. but drives nice, should I change that breather, please comment.

OEM fuel filter I paid R482.00 recently for my 330d.

Pricey, but I don't take chances on fuel filters, as the repair costs on injectors an replacement fuel pumps are NOT CHEAP. R50k I was quoted for a set of new OEM injectors. I have seen my fair share of high horse power mining engines destroyed due to poor quality fuel filters. Leaving the equipment owner R1.2m (1.2 Million Rand) in debt for a new engine.:bravo:

Use a premium grade synthetic oil for the motor and happy motoring.

I think just vo speak to a mechanic. I dont service at bmw but service at a normal mechie and they still follow some officialservice schedule as to when to change what. He should be able to help you with a filter as well.

Not sure about BMW but with my TDI Golf VW actually gave me the service schedule for my last schedule listing all the parts that needed replacing, perhaps BMW would do this?

Your diesel fuel filter should be changed at every 3rd oil service, or even sooner depending on the grade of diesel you're filling :thumbs:

I saw that in the owners manual a while back :thumbs:
