As far as distances go I have customers coming from Kuruman in the northern Cape to guys driving from Maputo to bring their cars to me. I also have loyal customers coming from the free state and mpumalanga.:ty:

This 330ci is back due to an oil leak and intermittent coolant light. Current mileage 167 492km.

Major oil leak on passenger side of engine.

Needs to be cleaned to determine the cause of the oil leak.

Getting there.

Next morning, engine dry. The oil leak is coming from the crank case vent valve drain pipe, its in two pieces.

Broken pipe removed.

New piece of high pressure hose will last much longer.

Installed.

Splash covers were filthy, the actual steel sump guard is missing, will try source a replacement.

Covers clean.

Myself and three buddies with their E46's have all had the oil filter housing gasket deteriorate to the point of an oil leak. The milage ranged from 178000 to mine with 250000. Might be worth suggesting it as preventative maintenance to your customer...

Are you using prepsol to clean the underside of the engine? It looks like it does a very good job!

Keep up the good work :clapper:

The other thing that the car came in for was an intermittent coolant light. The water level was correct yet every now and then the light would come on, so I picked up a new sensor from the agents.

Faulty unit still in place.

Side-by-side.

New one installed.

Splash cover back on.

Job done, ready to go home.

Prepsol, elbow grease and Karcher.
