Quick question whats sooooooo wrong with the M badge? I know some people put the M3 badge on a 318/320/330 etc for example now thats dumb but if its the M sports pack it has the M badge every where.... so it would sort of fit the theme of the car right? just asking dont kill me lol:fencelook:

I think the general sentiment is that putting an M badge on the back where the model designation usually is , is just a little "try hard". The m badges in the sports and individual packs on non m cars are subtle, and in my opinion, when pasting them on the back, the subtlety is lost.

Every time I see a non m car with an m badge on the back, I find myself automatically thinking "wannabe".

I tend to disagree with you there.... the M badges in the car are anything but subtle when I change gears I see a M, when I look at the steering wheel I see a M, every door sill when I jump in has an M.... so Like I said putting maybe M3 on a normal sedan is trying to hard... but just an M IMHO fits the whole theme. BMW put it there so guess they are trying to hard then aswell? just a thought.

Ya look, it's obviously a matter of opinion, and the question of the overly -generous use of m badges around the car on sportspacks is perhaps up for debate. In any case, wherever they are, they don't look out of place, even if there are a lot of them.

But as far as I know, it's not standard to have the M badge on the back, as I rarely see it, and when I do, for me, it looks out of place on a non M car for the reason that if there's one place you maybe shouldn't "try to be M", Is the actual model designation area.

I suppose it's a little silly debating a matter of preference, i dont mean to be disrespectful to other peoples tastes, so as much I hate the saying, 'each to their own'.

It comes down to personal preference and what you find as acceptable when customising your car. For instance, I prefer sticking to OEM wheels, but I might be happy to fit CF Roundels etc. For me, IIIM badges belong on M cars or cars that came out of the factory with them! But each to their own hey!

Car looks good,

Congrats...

Heres what I see,

The car is either an MSport or an Individual (In My opinion, better than your traditional Sportspack)

Definitely a 318i.... Single tailpipe, and non chrome kidneys... (twin tail pipes and chrome kidneys usually indicate 6 cylider)

Sunroof

Questions....

1. Is it a manual or Steptronic (Auto)?
2. When you open the doors, what is indicated on the plastic panel... "BMW Individual", or " ///M" ?

Congrats on a great car..

P.S.... If an airconditioner requires regassing, its usually a sign of a leak within the Airconditioning system. Airconditioners are meant to be a closed system. It might be beneficial to do a dye test on the system.

Very very nice! :=):

Tip to remove badge, hairdryer, some fishing string and some polish.

First heat up the badge only slightly (not on full heat tho) to loosen the glue the badges are stuck on with.

Next take the fishing gut and get it between the badge and the surface of the car and gently work it downwards, you'll see they'll come off pretty easily then get some polish and polish the residue off.

Just a tip do it when you polish the whole car otherwise you'll end up with one nice shiny polished patch on the right hand side of your boot :=):

Oh many happy miles with her!
