2004, 320i E46 POWER SUPPLY TO THE BOOT

Greetings. My 2004 320i E46 has lost power supply into the boot. No boot interior lights and the CD changer is also off.

Can anyone advice what I need to do to diagnose or get this problem fixed.

When you open the boot there is a fat rubber tube thing on the right hand side by the window. Inside that is a bunch of wires. My bet is that a few wires have broken inside. It is a common problem.
