What is the telltale signs of diesel injectors leaking? The car starts on the button but i find that it sort of runs uneven for about 2 seconds and then idles evenly. Found today driving at about 80 - 60kph that the engine seems to run uneven on the overrun, sort of shaking as if it is not getting an even flow of diesel. Could that be dirty injectors (been filling up with 500ppm for the last two times)

I heard for every 2 tanks of 50ppm diesel put a tank of 500pm for lubrication...

INPA diagnostics could give you an idea if you look at injector trim, but the only way to really check is to check the return flow of the injectors. You get a test kit that consists of 6 vials with tubes that you connect to the return nipple on the top of the injectors. If they are leaking, they will return much less than the others.

You will probably need to do that, since your problem could be caused by something else, and other factors can also affect injector trim values.

Thanks, have put in some injector cleaner (but am very sceptic as to how efficient the stuff is). Am going on a looong trip tomorrow and will see how it goes. At this stage no problems at all. Thanks again and will report back as to how the trip went.
