I think I am going to enjoy it with a feather light foot for a while.

Apparently the diff seals were done a while back at 3 series service center. They overtorqued the pinion bearing which caused the damage to the diff and possibly caused extra strain on the mounting point.
But the mounting point is aluminium and the M5 has a lot of power, so it's a weak point anyway. That's why DINAN makes a reinforcement kit.
