Guys, here are the facts about the car and owners, good buy or not, and pottential problems

- Owned by wealthy Germans who spend 6 weeks a year here (have an awesome house in Clifton) :) Owned X5 from new

- Mileage 98000km :clapper:
- full Dealer history, although obviously because of mileage actually not serviced that regularly
- Mint inside and out
- drives well!

Bar fuel consumption, Issues ??

My brother had one and a coolant pipe burst while it was driving and cooked the engine. So if anything, assume
Usual BMW cooling system risks

So it all looks like the usual stuff.... No massive issues? Bar the fact you need to visit the fuel pump a lot?

Just do it. You know you want to!

If you leave a few bob under the mattress for maintenance of the scheduled and unscheduled kind, it should be good.

Be weary of the self-leveling suspension at the rear failing, but it's an easy fix.

An easy fix, but a very expensive one.

You could convert to standard suspension too to rule out future problems.

Make sure the cluster and radio display are both working 100%
I think that ship has sailed on most e39s and early x5s.
Unless you have a low obc E39. They don't seem to suffer cluster issues
