I have a friend I Limpopo province who has a mint 333i, white with 80 000km's on the clock. He would like to establish true current value of the car as in SA.

Who can assist to furnish a valuation which will be accepted by insurers?

Determining values of cars that do not change hands often is not really possible.

M Coupe would have been easy a few years ago, but they don't seem to be moving as of late.

The 333i on the other hand is worth whatever a buyer and the seller agrees upon.

Best practice is to make a list of prices of cars that sold and take that to the insurance company, although most of them completely rejected my car based on age so you will have to go to some of the smaller places, some of them will offer an "agreed upon" value if you have a car only driven limited km and some other conditions.
