Have just bought a 318i auto 2000 (E46) model. When sitting with Owners Handbook to familiarise myself with instrument panel, etc, the handbook says use the button on the end of the turn indicator stalk to call up onboard computer information. My turn indicator has no such button. Have I been conned or are there models without this button? Can anyone please advise me.

On board computer was optional extra at that time on the 318i. Yours might just not have it in. I had to spec my car up to include the OBC when i bought one in 2001.
But I did c a DIY on the E46 forum on the upgrade. If I understood the thread it is there just need to upgrade the lever.

No idea Jimo. I saw OBC on the extras list for approx R1 000,00 and I said I wanted it. Didn't ask how, when or where. Just wanted it. But then again, I kinda went to town on the 318ti. I had nearly all the extras barring sat-nav fitted.
